I create a quotation template using the CRM_MD_QuoteItems procedure only. I opened the quotes window and then to the parts tab. I created a quotation. When I tried to do a document merge, an erorr message pop-up

"A parameter is required...
missing parameter value @@quoterecid"

In the quote template, I had included the field quoterecid.

I deleted the template, the xsd and xml and recreated the template, again with the same error.

Tried that (adding in CRM_MD_Quote) as well as adding in the following fields into the xml;

-Recid
-Quoterecid
-Quoteheader

Set document security and availability to "Everywhere". Tried document merging in;
-Quotes window
-Quotes part tab
-Contacts window

Ran the document merge in windows 7 and windows 2003. In Windows 7, the error message is "missing parameter value @@QuoteRecid", in windows 2003, the error message is "following error occured: 91, object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Yes, have tried limiting the template to the Quote module too. However, when this was done, when running Document merge within the QuoteParts tab, the template is not available in the drop down list. After expanding the scope to make the template available to the contact module as well, the template is then available as a choice. However, still cannot do a document merge, the same error occurs.

The same quote template works in this scenario;

- login as adminstrator
- open the quote->Reports tab
- select the template and then view / print
ie. do not even need to run document merge.

The administrator can run this template for any user's quotation.

However, giving the sale user adminstrator rights does not work in this case.
